Saint Patrick's Day and The Sullivans

Posted on Mon Mar 17th, 2025 @ 9:06pm by Captain Violet Bluegarden

To all crew,

Today (March 17) is typically recognized as Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick; a religious and cultural holiday held on the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

As the five Sullivan brothers were Irish-American, the ships named in their honor have always sported Irish iconography, primarily the shamrock, and our ship is no exception, with our ship's patch proudly displaying a shamrock which the side profile of our ship is set against, the patch itself harkening back to the first USS The Sullivans.

As today is an Irish public holiday, I'm looking to get some activity going on this sim. I know that activity here has ground to a halt lately, so the best thing to do is lead by example.

Hope to see you all writing!
