| Personal History | Jason's early childhood was one that was built on much excitement. As a child, Jason was considered quite the daredevil which resulted in him ending up in an emergency room on several occasions. But as much as loved getting into trouble his love for one day joining Starfleet was far stronger. Once accepted to the Academy, Reeves immediately knew that he wanted to major in security. After graduating the new Ensign was assigned to the USS Lexington. Jason threw himself into his work and impressed his superior with his sense of dedication to the job. Not only that, he seemed to be the life of every party. But it didn't take long until he fell for one of a civilian engineer who came to assist with repairs to the Excelsior class ship. The ship had received damages after a run in with Cardassians. And while at spacedock, Jason Reeves quickly married his new bride Asia. Things between the two went well for sometime, but soon reality kicked in. And soon the two went through a separation with Asia returning to her home on Mars. But soon after Reeves received word that Asia was pregnant with his child. And a few months later, Jason was there to witness the birth of his first child Kimora. Realizing just how important family was, the Lieutenant Junior Grade decided to work things out with his wife. Though this was difficult with them living apart, but two years later he was offered an assignment on DS5 as Chief Security Officer and a promotion to Lieutenant. On the station, it didn't take long at all for Jason and Asia to have their second child Leila. Minus a physical altercation that took place with a fellow officer, the Lieutenant began to progress in his career. But over time, Jason realized that his wife was becoming more unstable. Not to mention that being a Starfleet wife became less appealing to her. But things began to finally take its toll when Reeves was reassigned to the USS Jane Addam, which would be assigned near the Cardassian sector. This came with a promotion to Lt. Commander. Upset with Jason's decision to take the position, Asia took the girls and returned to Mars, putting in an official request for a divorce. During his time on the Jane Addams, the Chief Security Officer got to witness first-hand the brutality of the Cardassians who they were constantly dealing with. Many times, he grew frustrated with Federation diplomacy when it came to not interfering when it came to the occupation of Bajor. In 2365, the Jane Addams defended a small ship consisting of Bajorian escapees that crossed into Federation space while chased by the Cardassians. When ordered to leave Federation space without the Bajorian, they opened fired. The Jane Addams won the battle but not without a few casualties. One of those losses being the First Officer. The Captain decided to promote Reeves to Commander and make him the new First Officer. Almost three years later when the Jane Addams returned to the Sol system, they quickly realized that a Borg Cube entered Federation space and had engaged a Task Force at Wolf-359. Jason was worried about the safety of his daughters and ex-wife who he quickly realized they had been right outside the system. Though the Borg Cube had been destroyed, he still realized how close he came to possibly losing his family. After the Borg threat and how close the Federation was to losing Earth. Reeves decided to accept a position at Starfleet Tactical to be closer to his children in 2168. A year after Wolf-359, Starfleet's main focus was on the Borg and he found himself as one of many Cybernetic Warfare Coordinators It set him back on the command track, but the new experience and being close to family were worth it. Two years later, Jason was promoted to Commander. Now that the Federation has found themselves in war with the Dominion. Commander Reeves has found himself reassigned to the USS The Sullivans as the Executive Officer. |
